Thinking about a black ring? Oh, great. But what material to choose? We'd be contradicting ourselves if we didn't recommend carbon. But we want to be fair and let you know what other options are on the market. We can afford to, because we know you'll love carbon as much as we do.
- Carbon: Extremely lightweight and durable material for the most demanding. It can withstand almost any treatment and there is no need to limit yourself in any way for the sake of the ring. The carbon surface texture looks luxurious and original. The disadvantage may be that such a hard material cannot be engraved.
- Steel: Steel is a grey alloy of iron and other metallic elements. Black is not its original color and this fact may show in everyday wear of the ring (peeling, fading, etc.). It is an affordable material that can also be engraved into.
- Ceramic: A relatively lightweight material which, like carbon, does not suffer from the oxidation known especially in precious metals. It does not require any special treatment. The ring does not suffer from scratches (the surface hardness of the material is very high), however, the fragility of the material can be a major weakness under extreme stress. It is not uncommon for the ring to crack unintentionally.
- Titanium: By modifying the originally rich grey titanium, a black quality ring can be purchased for relatively good money. Titanium is a proven hypoallergenic material and you shouldn't go wrong by choosing it if your skin is more sensitive. The downside is machine production, which doesn't allow for significant individual customisation of the ring and original design if you're just a slightly more discerning customer.Titanium: By modifying the originally rich grey titanium, a black quality ring can be purchased for relatively good money. - Tungsten: a material that has only recently started to be used for rings, mainly due to its technological complexity. The ring is very affordable, but unfortunately you cannot count on any individual customization of the ring directly to the fiancé. You have to buy only what is currently on offer. As with ceramics, tungsten is very brittle and a cracked ring is not uncommon.
- Silicone: flexible, lightweight, safe and durable. An interesting choice for the undemanding fiancé. But do you want to wear a rubber ring for life? The ring is available in a basic width and no special ring modifications are practically possible.
For us, carbon is the obvious choice. It is a very original, lightweight and durable material that is commonly used for the most demanding and stressful constructions (aircraft wings, power plant turbines, etc.). The advantage of our rings, compared to all the others mentioned above, is the personal approach and the possibility of individual ring customization. You will have a truly original piece of jewellery that you deserve.
